Mold stains appear in damp and moisture places, and are easy to recognize due to the smell and that black spots. Important is to remove it immediately because it may cause you serious health problems, and if you suffer from respiratory diseases, it will certainly aggravate your problem.

But, in this article you will find out how to easily remove mold stains using natural products. You can use chemicals for mold stains, but just imagine the toxic substances eliminated by those products along with the toxic smell of mold. No human being could leave healthy from that environment.  

Mold stains on white cotton fabrics

For recent stains:

  • soften the fabric for 2-3 hours in vinegar, and then wash it with water and soap
  • Apply a solution of 100 ml of hydrogen peroxide and 20 ml of ammonia to the stain and leave it to act for 5 minutes, and then rinse it with plenty of water.

For older stains:

  • put 200 ml of ammonia directly on the stain and let it work for 15 minutes, and then wash the laundry with water and detergent.

Mold stains on wool and silk

For recent stains:

  • dab 2-3 times the mold stains with a cotton swab moistened in turpentine. Wash the coat with a special laundry for wool and silk.

For older stains:

wash the fabric with detergent, and then soak it for 30 minutes in a dilute solution of formic acid 5 % (500 ml). Rinse it with plenty of water.
