The one who says that never had a too-tight pair of shoes I bet that he/she will get that Pinocchio nose! Although this doesn’t happens very often, you get pretty annoyed when it does. Especially if you love that particular pair of shoes and is 100% leather.

Leather shoes happen to be a bit too tight when you purchase a pair. As you wear them, they will lose their elasticity and it will be perfect. But until this happens your feet will feel as they were trapped in a vice.
Without further talk, here are some simple but effective methods that will help you to stretch leather shoes at home.

The ice pack method
Although it seems weird, this trick really works. All you have to do is put water in two zipper bags, and put one bag in each shoe, and then put the shoes into the freezer. Let them sand in the freezer overnight. The next day you will see how the shoes are not tight anymore.

The hair dryer method
For this method you need a hair dryer and a pair of thick socks. Put on the socks and then put on the troublesome shoes. Set the hair dryer to a medium temperature and start “drying” your shoes for a few minutes. Insist on the area where you feel that the shoe is too tight.

The alcohol method
As we know, alcohol softens the skin. So soak a tampon in alcohol (vodka or rubbing alcohol) and put it in your shoes. Take on your shoes and walk around the house for 10-15 minutes. For better results wear a pair of thick socks.

Steam method
The last method is as simple as the above. All you have to do is put a pot of water to boil. When the steam is rising, put your shoes in it for 2-3 minutes. Then put a pair of thick sock and take on your shoes. Walk for a few minutes. You can repeat the procedure until you feel comfortable in your shoes.
