The worst part of kitchen cleaning is the stove and oven! You have to arm yourself with patience and tons of disinfectants and grease removers! At least that was the steps I took until I read, one night, on the internet about the miraculous effects of vinegar and baking soda. Yeah, sure I said! Very commercial!

Until I had enough in one day, and I decided to try these ingredients. Honestly, I was very surprised when the grease removed by itself, without being necessary to use harsh chemicals. Wow! That’s a miracle – a non-toxic way to remove grease out of the oven and stove is the best part of cleaning. In addition, this remedy is cheap and there’s no scrub needed.

Below, I will present the steps I took for a shiny stove and oven:

Cleaning the cooker stove

The cooker will become shiny if you clean it with baking soda.

You need to add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a glass of water and wipe the cooker with the solution obtained. I said wipe not rub! If there is any hardened grease, just mix baking soda with water to form a paste, and apply the paste on the greasy stain. Let it act for half an hour or so, and then remove it with the abrasive side of a dish sponge.

Cleaning the stove grates

For fat burning stains and burns you can prepare a solution of 3 tablespoons of baking soda, a glass of water and the juice of one lemon. Add each cooking grate in a ziplock back and pour this solution over it. Prepare this solution for each cooking grate. Leave it to act for 30 minutes, and then wipe the grates with a clean cloth.

Cleaning the oven

The hardest task of all! Fat stains in the oven can be removed using a salt-based solution.

In a glass, add half a lemon juice, 2-3 tablespoons of salt, and fill the rest of the glass with water. Mix well until the salt melts. Put the solution in a sprayer, and spray over the oven’s walls. Let it act for 30 minutes, and then remove the solution with an abrasive sponge soaked in warm water.

Another option is to prepare a baking soda paste and apply it over the oven walls, let it stand for 1-2 hours, until it hardens, and then sprinkle white vinegar over it. Use and abrasive sponge to remove the baking soda excess, and you will be surprised how grease will easily melt!
